Here is a picture from F.D.I.C. (Fire Dept Instructor Conference).  The annual event is held each year in Indianapolis, IN.  I like to call it “Fire Trucks ‘R’ Us”!!! This picture is from inside the RCA Dome and the Conference Center.  Just over 50 fire trucks inside the Dome!   Every company you can think of that has any dealings with the fire service was there. Even Paul Sr. from Orange County Choppers was there to give away a new custom chopper.  Over 28,000 Firefighters from all over the world were in attendance this year.  I would like to take some ACFD FF with me next year.   So make plans now! April 25-29.

National Volunteer Week was created in 1974 when President Richard Nixon signed an executive order to establish the week as an annual celebration of volunteering. Every year since, each U.S. President, along with many governors, mayors, and other elected officials, has signed a proclamation promoting National Volunteer Week.
