Anderson County Fire Protection District fire protection forces shall be trained to the appropriate level to recognize and evaluate Hazardous Materials Incidents within Anderson County and request the appropriate resources to mitigate the incident.
It is the responsibility of the Anderson County Fire Protection District to plan, develop and implement standard operating procedures and policies for the operation of the department. The SOPs and policies shall incorporate the guidelines dictated by local ordinances, state laws, federal regulations and any other appropriate agency requirements.
The training of personnel shall be planned for and developed in conjunction with the departments SOPs and policies. Training record’s management shall be in accordance with regulations prescribed by the approving authority.
It is imperative that the management of the Anderson County Fire Protection District be fiscally responsible while dealing with the assets allocated to the department. The responsibility extends to the maintenance of tools, equipment and any other assets that are under the control of the Anderson County Fire Protection District.
The Anderson County Fire Protection District’s first priority is service to the residents of Anderson County. However, in the event of an emergency situation, disaster, or the impending need of a surrounding county, this department will offer mutual aid assistance. The mutual aid will be rendered to the extent our expertise can assist and to the degree that will not leave the citizens of Anderson County unprotected.
The Anderson County Fire Protection District is committed to serving the citizens of Anderson County in an emergency or crisis situation, through management of all personnel and equipment available. The protection of life and property is the premiere goal of this department.
